TOP 5 CRITICAL ENGAGEMENT REPORT

The "Blinding" Trend: Attackers are currently targeting the management consoles used to see and recover data. If these hubs fall, your defenses are offline.

1. Cisco Secure FMC | CVSS 10.0 (Root Takeover) The Threat: Interlock Ransomware is using CVE-2026-20131 to gain root access to firewall management.

  • Client Impact: They aren't just stealing data; they are "blinding" defenders by wiping security logs every 5 minutes before encrypting files.
  • Action: Patch to v7.4.2.1+ immediately.

2. Microsoft SharePoint | CVSS 9.8 (Standard User RCE) The Threat: CVE-2026-20963 allows standard, non-admin users to execute code as the SharePoint Service Account.

  • Client Impact: An attacker with a single phished employee credential can take over your entire document repository.
  • Action: Verify the Jan/Mar 2026 Cumulative Update is applied.

3. GSA NIST 800-171 Rev 3 | Compliance "Showstopper" The Threat: The GSA has officially mandated Revision 3 for all CUI handlers.

  • Client Impact: This introduces a one-hour reporting window for suspected incidents. Most current IRPs (72 hours) are now non-compliant.
  • Action: Update your Incident Response Plan to the 60-minute threshold.

4. Apple "DarkSword" | Multi-Stage Exploit Chain The Threat: A 3-part chain (CVE-2025-31277, 43520, 43510) added to CISA KEV.

  • Client Impact: Full kernel-level compromise of iOS/macOS via "zero-click" malicious web content.
  • Action: Enable Background Security Improvements (BSI) in Privacy & Security settings.

5. Ubiquiti UniFi | CVSS 10.0 (Fabric Hijack) The Threat: CVE-2026-22557 path-traversal flaw.

  • Client Impact: Unauthenticated actors can hijack administrative accounts on the UniFi Network Application, granting control over all gateways and APs.
  • Action: Update UniFi Network Application to v10.1.89+ now.
